We will operate our art camps at less than 50% capacity this summer in order to comply with CDC and NCDHHS guidelines. Therefore, we will only be accepting 6 children per camp.We will remove, wash, and replace tablecloths each day. We will encourage hand-washing and will perform routine washing and disinfection of common areas. Children will be assigned some supplies that they will use all week (scissors, crayons, markers etc.) Parents will be welcome to come in and look at the studio on our first morning. After this, parents will be asked to text us and we will escort your child outside to your car.
Visual Journaling & Bookmaking
In this art camp we will explore painting, printmaking and marbling in visual journals (sketchbooks) and we will create a handful of mini-books which children can fill up at home. We will be marbling paper, making mini-comic books, exploring black out poetry and having fun with pockets, fold outs, fold ups and more! Children may bring a drink (or two) and a snack which they will not be allowed to share or exchange with others. We are committed to observing best practices including frequent hand washing, no shared food or water bottles, use of hand sanitizer, and requesting children who exhibit any symptoms of illness to stay at home. We will be practicing distancing, hand-washing, and cleaning the studio daily- AND.... making lots of great ART! For elementary students in rising grades 2-7th. $120 (15 hours, $8/hour, all supplies included) Click below to sign up! |
