Welcome! We are looking for some teens who are highly motivated, very reliable, curious, and who LOVE art! We would like to provide some work experience and volunteer hour opportunities, BUT...... we aren't just looking for "free help!" We would like to give back to YOU by offering options such as free class attendance; mentorship; and opportunities for socializing with other art-loving teens! Do you want to learn to work with fused glass? Or perhaps you'd like to work on something in particular and would love our support, such as lino-cut printmaking, ceramics, mosaics, or something else? We can help! This would be a commitment from both of us that would also mutually benefit both of us!
Some of the things that we might be interested in assistance with would be general studio upkeep, recycling clay, contacting customers, unloading the kiln, helping with murals, sorting glass, traveling with us to help at events, helping with kids art classes, helping to plan a mental health related art exhibit, and lots more! We'd also love to have social media connected teens at schools to help us get the word out about our studio. (If that's not you, that's ok!) If you can donate a minimum of 4 hours a month we'd love to hear from you. You could do lots more, of course, but 4 would be the minimum. You could do it all on one day or break it up into several days. You could do one day a month or come in every other week- you can design your own schedule!
Interns would receive one t-shirt and would have an option to learn to make more with our silkscreen equipment. You would be able to screen whatever you wanted if you provide the blank tshirts/totes etc.
We have an application link where you can fill in the form to give us all of your information. You are also welcome to also send us another email with your resume, photos or information about yourself. This is not required, but anything that might help us get to know you better would be beneficial. If you choose to do that, you can send it to Sara at [email protected].
If we choose to invite you in for an interview, we will email you to set up a date and time for you to come in.
We're looking forward to hearing from you!
